About Us
"There needs to be a lot more emphasis on what a child can do instead of what they cannot"
~ Tempel Grandin
Christina Beta, MA, SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist, Neurodiversity Affirming Educational Consultant
With over 2 decades of experience as a speech-language pathologist supporting children of all abilities. Her clinical experience includes supporting autistic individuals, ADHD, diverse emotional needs, and unique learning profiles. Christina has embraced a natural and functional approach to speech and language therapy to empower children to become their most authentic selves.
Beyond her work as a therapist, Christina’s interactions and collaborations with other professionals and autistic individuals helped her see that the deficit-based approach to therapy created a limited view of autistic individuals’ abilities and unique gifts. As a lifelong student, she embraced a neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy and advanced her skillset through various trainings. Christina uses her vast knowledge and experience with families and professionals alike. She creates tailored therapy plans for children she supports that are trauma-informed, strength-based, sensory-regulating, and neurodiversity-affirming.
Having witnessed firsthand the unique strengths and challenges experienced by parents of neurodivergent children, Christina founded Collaborative Minds Consulting to offer education, coaching, and support that empowers families, professionals, & organizations in her community.
For Christina, the greatest reward comes from moments of genuine connection—when families and professionals feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Her ability to foster trust, empathy, and collaboration creates a sense of safety and belonging for both children and the adults who care for them. With every interaction, she reminds others:
“I see you. I understand you. And I’m here to support you.”
